NGINX Log Visualization with Elasticsearch and Kibana

Problem

NGINX access and error logs required a more centralized and searchable workflow to support troubleshooting, investigate service issues, and identify recurring access or error patterns.

Decision

Deployed Elasticsearch and Kibana with Docker Compose to process and visualize NGINX access and error logs from a BPKP server. Created Kibana visualizations for centralized inspection of access patterns and error events.

Result

Provided a centralized view of NGINX access and error events, supporting faster troubleshooting and more structured investigation of service issues.

The next step could include alert thresholds for error spikes, log-retention policies, dashboard documentation, and correlation with infrastructure metrics for deeper incident analysis.
